Why so many apps don’t offer forex

Retail forex is regulated differently from shares. In the US, forex dealers must register with the CFTC and NFA, CFDs are banned for retail clients, and leverage is capped at 50:1 on majors, so most US investing apps offer currency futures or nothing at all. In the UK, EU and Australia, forex is usually offered as CFDs with leverage capped at 30:1 on major pairs.
