How the forex trading day works
There is no central exchange in forex. Banks trade with each other around the world, so the market follows the sun from Sydney to Tokyo, then London, then New York. The most liquid period is the London–New York overlap, when the two biggest centres are open together. That is when many major pairs move most, as our market data shows hour by hour.
