How Fibonacci levels are used

In an uptrend, retracements measure how far price might pull back from the high before the trend resumes, and extensions project targets beyond the high. They are areas of interest, not guarantees. Combine them with support and resistance and always place a stop loss.

FAQ

Which Fibonacci levels matter most?

The 38.2%, 50% and 61.8% retracements are the most widely watched. The 50% level is not a Fibonacci ratio but is commonly included.

How do I choose the swing?

Use a clear, recent swing on the timeframe you trade: the low and high of the latest impulse move in an uptrend, or the high and low in a downtrend.
