FAQ
How do you calculate drawdown recovery?
Gain needed = 1 ÷ (1 − drawdown) − 1. After a 20% loss you need 1 ÷ 0.8 − 1 = 25% to get back to breakeven.
How big a losing streak should I plan for?
Even a strategy that wins 50% of the time will see 6–8 losses in a row at some point over a few hundred trades. Size your risk so that a streak like that is survivable.
